Special Angels of The Woodlands
Overview
Our Loving founder, Thelma Braddock worked with people of all ages who had mental and physical challenges. She and another special lady opened the Special Angels of The Woodlands (SAW) in January 27, 2003 as a non-profit organization, serving adults with intellectual disabilities. With Gods help and several wonderful people and volunteers, we have operated SAW for eighteen (18) years.
We provide fun-filled activities for our clients both at our Center and out in the community as often as we can. Our safe outings consist of birthday luncheons, trips to the library and the park, gardening, re-cycling, museum, bowling, ceramic-making, zoo trips, volunteering and more. At the Center we enjoy celebrating parties and making crafts, singing, dancing and socializing with friends. Special Angels is a positive place where our clients feel at home. The services we offer are important to both our clients and their families who benefit from respite time while their loved one is in our caring and capable hands.
