Saint Helena, Ascension, and Tristan da Cunha is a British overseas territory located in the South Atlantic Ocean, about midway between South America and Africa, covering an area of approximately 394 square kilometers. As of 2024, the territory has a population of about 7,943, with English as the official language. The territory consists of three island groups with diverse geography, and Jamestown on Saint Helena serves as the capital. The government operates as a parliamentary democracy.

Saint Helena, Ascension, and Tristan da Cunha has an upper-middle-income British Atlantic Ocean territorial economy with no established GDP, relying on significant UK financial support. Natural resources include fish and lobster. The territory uses its own currency pegged to the British pound on two of its three islands, and has a unique land and farming commune structure on Tristan da Cunha. Military-related economic activity and sport fishing also contribute to the economy, and Saint Helena recently gained an airport to improve connectivity.
