Serbia is a country located in Southeastern Europe between Macedonia and Hungary, covering an area of approximately 77,474 square kilometers. As of 2024, Serbia has a population of about 6.65 million, with Serbian as the official language alongside Hungarian, Bosnian, and Romani. The country is extremely varied, with rich fertile plains in the north, limestone ranges and basins in the east, and ancient mountains and hills in the southeast, with a continental climate in the north and a continental and Mediterranean climate in other parts. Belgrade serves as the capital, and the government operates as a parliamentary republic.
