Samoa is a country located in Oceania in the South Pacific Ocean, about halfway between Hawaii and New Zealand, covering an area of approximately 2,831 square kilometers. As of 2025, Samoa has a population of about 210,223, with Samoan and English as official languages. The country consists of two main islands, Savaii and Upolu, with a narrow coastal plain and volcanic, rugged mountains in the interior, with a tropical climate featuring a rainy season from November to April and a dry season from May to October. Apia serves as the capital, and the government operates as a parliamentary republic.
