Oman is a country located in the Middle East bordering the Arabian Sea, Gulf of Oman, and Persian Gulf, between Yemen and the UAE, covering an area of approximately 309,500 square kilometers. As of 2025, Oman has a population of about 3.97 million, with Arabic as the official language alongside English, Baluchi, Swahili, Urdu, and Indian dialects. The country features a central desert plain with rugged mountains in the north and south, and a dry desert climate that is hot and humid along the coast with a strong southwest summer monsoon in the far south. Muscat serves as the capital, and the government operates as an absolute monarchy.

Oman has a high-income, oil-based economy with a GDP of $106.94 billion and a GDP per capita of $36,700, driven by crude oil production and refining, natural and liquefied natural gas production, construction, cement, copper, steel, chemicals, and optic fiber. Key agricultural products include vegetables, dates, milk, tomatoes, sorghum, chillies and peppers, goat milk, cucumbers, cantaloupes, and cabbages, while natural resources include petroleum, copper, asbestos, marble, limestone, chromium, gypsum, and natural gas.
