Cote d'Ivoire

Cote d’Ivoire is a country located in West Africa, bordered by Liberia, Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ghana, and the Atlantic Ocean, covering an area of approximately 322,463 square kilometers. As of 2025, Cote d’Ivoire has a population of over 28 million, with French as the official language. The country features coastal plains, tropical rainforests, and northern savanna, experiencing tropical climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. Yamoussoukro serves as the political capital while Abidjan functions as the economic capital.

Cote d’Ivoire is the world’s largest producer of cocoa beans, which forms the backbone of its economy alongside coffee, palm oil, and cashew exports. The country has experienced strong economic growth following the end of political crisis in 2011, attracting significant foreign investment and developing its infrastructure. Key industries include food processing, petroleum refining, and manufacturing. Despite its economic progress, Cote d’Ivoire continues to address challenges including political reconciliation and economic diversification.
